Video Vault: World Poker Tour Merit Cyprus Classic
What a week we've had here in Northern Cyprus for the World Poker Tour! The event is being held at the stunning five-star luxury Merit Crystal Cove Hotel & Casino, just a short drive from the popular harbor town of Kyrenia.
With plenty of notables taking part in the Main Event, and two Royal Flush Girls in tow, we've been able to have a lot of fun off the felt in this Mediterranean playground. Here's a look at just a few of the videos we've made so far this week.
The Tour
As always, we like to show off the destination we're visiting. Here's a look at the luxurious resort and surrounding areas of Northern Cyprus. It really is a beautiful place to visit.
A Royal Flush feat. Mad Marvin
Sonia Yasmin Ali is one of the WPT's Royal Flush Girls, and she's a lot more than just a pretty face. Marvin Rettenmaier is also an extratalented man off the felt. Here, the two join together to perform an acoustic cover of Emeli Sande's "Next to Me."
Tony's Anti-Betties
While he was in London enjoying the Olympics with the Lithuanian basketball team, Tony G shared a video of his Lithuanian cheerleaders, the Tony Betties. The Royal Flush Girls here at the World Poker Tour were feeling a little "put out." It was the perfect excuse to have some fun off the felt — in our opinion! Daniel "jungleman12" Cates also thought so.
Versus
We like challenges at PokerNews, and not just on the felt. French couple Gaelle Baumann and [Removed:167] are both here in Cyprus, so we tested Ehrhardt to see how well he knows his leading lady.
That wasn't the only challenge. Michael Mizrachi has a lot of brothers, but one of an unofficial kind is Chino Rheem. The two men know each other pretty well, so we put them up to the Versus challenge.
Best. Party. Ever
Almost all poker tours come with a player party. They're always great fun, but I've never in my life seen a setup like this for a "poker party". This was definitely one of the most intense parties I've ever witnessed, with DJ Mizrachi and DJ Eric Cubeechee getting everyone moving on the dance floor. Just think Ibiza, and you have the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic Player Party.
There are still plenty more videos to come as we continue our coverage of the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic, so head over to the PokerNews video page to check out more videos, and as always, follow PokerNews on Twitter for up-to-the-minute news.
