PartyPoker Exclusive: Beta-Testing Of Fast Forward Poker Under Way

The recent craze of “fast-fold” poker will become available on PartyPoker within a couple of weeks; in fact it will be released at some point on Thursday on the PartyPoker client. Named Fast Forward, this brand new feature will launch as play money only in the first instance but as soon as PartyPoker management is happy with it, real money play will be rolled out.

It is our understanding that Fast Forward should be available to play for real money with stakes of $0.02/$0.04 and $0.05/$0.10 very soon after launch, with the plan to bring the feature out of beta-testing within one to two weeks. Once Fast Forward has been fully launched, new stake levels will be released based on demand from the players.

This is a very exciting development because it allows PartyPoker to directly compete with PokerStars' Zoom Poker and the other fast-fold poker variants that are currently available. Fast-fold poker was first introduced to the online poker world by Full Tilt Poker when Rush Poker was launched.

The innovative feature allows players to play hundreds of hands per hour thanks to them being seated in a player pool rather than one fixed table. Instead of having to wait for a new hand to be dealt, players can fold and be whisked away from their seat and placed on a new table with new players. Many in the industry have wondered when PartyPoker was going to get in on the act and it appears that time is now. Keep a look out for Fast Forward in the PartyPoker lobby.
