For years, the World Poker Tour has traveled the world hosting top-notch poker events, and now it's hitting the high seas with the WPT Cruise™ alongside the Cruise Authority and Royal Caribbean International. The first cruise will sail from Sept. 30 through Oct. 7, 2012 and visit Mexico, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Royal Caribbean’s private beach in Haiti.

Although there won’t be a traditional WPT poker tournament, cash games, sit-n-go tournaments, ladies-only events and freeroll tournaments will be offered every day in the ship's expansive poker room, and participants can win WPT prizes. In addition, guests will have the chance to rub elbows with the WPT family, including Mike Sexton, Vince Van Patten and the Royal Flush Girls.

As if that isn’t enough, the WPT will be giving each passenger a special welcome package that includes apparel and merchandise, poker lessons, and a free three-month subscription to ClubWPT.com.

Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas, a 160,000 ton ship replete with WiFi capabilities, cell phone connectivity, and flat-screen TVs in every stateroom, will host the the WPT Cruise. Not only that, there are plenty of options for spouses and kids, such as the H2O Zone water park, an enormous rock-climbing wall, an on-board surf park, a mini-golf course, and the world-class Vitality Spa.
