On Friday, PokerStars announced the addition of three stops to the Season 8 schedule of the European Poker TourMadrid, Spain; Berlin, Germany; and Campione, Italy. All three boast €5,000 + €300 main events and a slew of side events.

“We’re delighted that the EPT will be returning to two major capital cities in Europe, both of which have proved to be highly popular locations in recent years,” EPT President Edgar Stuchly said.

“We’re also very excited that the tour is for the first time heading to the highly exclusive region of Campione in Italy, further extending the reach of the EPT.”

EPT Madrid will take place from March 12 through 17 at the Casino Gran Madrid Torrelodones, which hosted last year’s EPT finale. That event will be followed by a visit to the Casino di Campione in Campione, Italy, from March 26 through 31, a regular stop on the PokerStars.it Italian Poker Tour. The area is an exclusive enclave situated on the shore of Lake Lugano in the Como-Milan region.

EPT Berlin is no stranger to the tour and will be returning to the Season 8 schedule from April 16 to 21. This will mark the third time the EPT has visited the German capital. If you recall, Ben Wilinofsky won EPT Berlin in April 2011 after defeating a field of 773 players, and in 2010 Kevin MacPhee’s bested a 945-player field for the victory.
