The 2011 World Series of Poker Europe presented by BarrierePoker.fr may have concluded in October, but now poker fans have the opportunity to watch the action unfold on television because ESPN2 is slated to air six one-hour episodes this Sunday, Dec. 18 from 6 p.m. to midnight EST.

"We continue to be proud of our deep relationship with ESPN to deliver fresh programming to poker fans,” said Ty Stewart, executive director of the WSOP. "As the only European tournament broadcast in the United States, WSOP Europe has become one of the most prestigious events in the world in just a few years time."

The first episode will focus on the Caesars Cup team event, which saw Team Americas (Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, Ben Lamb and Johnny Chan) take on Team Europe (Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Maxim Lykov, Gus Hansen, Tony G and Jake Cody) in an attempt to avenge their loss from the inaugural Caesars Cup in 2009.

From there, the remaining episodes will focus on the 2011 WSOP Europe Main Event with five consecutive hours of Main Event coverage. Players will be treated to coverage from the largest WSOPE in history, one that saw 593 players enter the field and created a $7,836,414 prize pool. Among the players you can expect to see highlighted on Sunday are Patrik Antonius, Chris Moorman, Jake Cody, Arnaud Mattern, Shawn Buchanan, and Elio Fox.

The familiar duo of Lon McEachern and Norman Chad will be calling the action.
