Event #8: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em

Day 3 of the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Event began with 59 players, all looking to make the final table. Jonathan Duhamel made a deep run but was eliminated early, falling in 54th place. Jon Turner took a slight chip lead into the final table, leading Sadan Turker by just 100,000.

Odette Tremblay became the second woman to make a final table at this year's WSOP. Unfortunately, her final table run ended in a ninth-place finish. Sadan Turker moved all-in pre-flop from the small blind and Tremblay made the call. She found herself in the lead with K7 against Turker's J5. That lead didn't last long as the flop fell 522 to give Turker two pair. The turn and river both blanked for Tremblay, and her stellar run ended with a ninth-place finish and $49,258.

Ten levels were reached before this final table could be completed. Turker soared during the final table and will return with 7.9 million in chips. Sean Getzwiller will come back with 3 million, while Jon Turner is the short stack with 1.68 million. The final three will return at 1600 PDT (2300 GMT) on Wednesday and play to the bracelet.
