The World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Showdown continued on Friday with the remaining 145 players returning to action. At the end of the day, only 51 of them remained. Finding his way at the top of the leaderboard was Taylor von Kriegenbergh with 1,080,500 in chips. Hot on his heels was Abbey Daniels with 1,016,500 in chips. After that, there was a huge drop-off to the player in third place, Justin Zaki with 461,000.

Von Kriegenbergh had a great day on the felt, including a massive hand he won against Steven Levy during Level 13 with the blinds at 1,000/2,000 with a 300 ante. There was already about 100,000 chips in the pot, according to the WPT Live Update Team, and the board read 1043A.

Von Kriegenbergh bet 42,500 and Levy made the call. The river completed the board with the Q and von Kriegenbergh fired the same amount, 42,500. Levy tanked and then made the call. Von Kriegenbergh tabled the AQ for top two pair, coming on the turn and river, and won the pot worth nearly 300,000 in chips.

While von Kriegenbergh was thriving on the day, others were dying. Some of those players who made it to Day 3 but couldn’t advance further included Dan O’Brien, Hiren Patel, Randy Dorfman and Annette Obrestad. Lauren Kling was also eliminated, falling at the hands of von Kriegenbergh on the last hand of the day.

Kling got the last of her money in on a king-high flop holding Kx10x. Von Kriegenbergh held a dominating AxKx and was able to hold from there and move over one million in chips.

The original plan was to play down until the money was reached, which was set at 45 players, but play was stopped a tiny bit short for the day. Some of the notables who will be returning for Day 4 are Timothy “T.K.” Miles (427,000), Todd Terry (410,000), Darren Elias (260,500) and Mike Beasley (174,000). The face of the WPT, Mike Sexton, also still remains with 192,000 in chips.
