SCOOP

The 2011 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker is less than a month away. Since its debut in 2009, the SCOOP's unique format has offered players of various bankrolls the opportunity to compete and make a splash in the online tournament scene. Some players have stood out more than others and we've sorted through every name from a SCOOP final table, all 1,325 of them, and compiled the SCOOP All-Time Final Tables List.

Seven Final Tables

PlayerWatchesMoney Won
Francis "teacuppoker" Cagney1$252,316

Cagney has certainly been the model of consistency, making three final tables in the 2009 SCOOP and four in the 2010 SCOOP. Among his final tables in 2010 was a win in the high buy-in razz event, topping a final table that included Dan "HundoFight" O'Brien, Shawn "buck21" Buchanan, and Josh "nitbuster" Arieh.

Six Final Tables

PlayerWatchesMoney Won
Brett "get crunk" Richey0$113,092.88

The 2009 SCOOP was certainly a memorable one for Richey, completely running away with Player of the Series honors for the five final tables he made. Impressive, considering that Richey much prefers cash games to tournaments. His biggest cash was $64,000 for a fourth-place finish in a mixed hold'em six-max affair, eventually won by James "Andy McLEOD" Obst.

Five Final Tables

James "Andy McLEOD" Obst1$252,516.27
Daniel "steamraise" Alaei1$175,330
George "Jorj95" Lind III0$74,706.04

We can't tell you much about "gibralter11,", but being at the top of a list that includes the likes of Obst, Daniel "steamraise" Alaei, and George "Jorj95" Lind III means you are one hell of a tournament player. In the 2010 SCOOP, gibralter11 locked up two victories, one in badugi and the other in PLO H/L.

Four Final Tables

Only four players have won two watches for their SCOOP performances. John "jmonnett" Monnette is the only to win one in each SCOOP series. In 2009 he took down a stud event to get it done, and in 2010, he topped a field in deuce to seven triple draw lowball.

Taking a look through the players with three SCOOP final tables made, it certainly is a talented bunch. Terrance "Unassigned" Chan's two victories in one night in the 2009 SCOOP still stands alone as the most impressive SCOOP feat. With more than ten WSOP bracelets on this list, it certainly is evident that the SCOOP has a way of bringing out the best in tournament players.
