SCOOP Day 1 Recap: Vohra Takes Top Prize
PokerStars' Spring Championship of Online Poker kicked off yesterday and after a grueling first day that lasted well into Monday, three players emerged with SCOOP titles. Dantes_11, hexchen3006, and Raj "BadcardsAA" Vohra topped their respective fields in Event #1, the opening no-limit hold’em six-max affairs. Vohra pocketed the largest prize of $240,026.93.
Event #2, a no-limit hold’em two-day, began later on Sunday and the three fields are each down to a few tables. Several big names remain in the high buy-in. Among the 33 remaining are chip leader Jamie "Xaston" Kaplan, David "RugDoctor" Williams and Victor Ramdin. Meanwhile in the medium buy-in, Chris "SLOPPYKLOD" Klodnicki, Carter "bdybldngpkr" Phillips, Ryan "g0lfa" D'Angelo, and Shawn "buck21" Buchanan are among the 72 players left.
Event #2 resumes at 5 p.m. EST.
