The World Series of Poker Returns to ESPN Tonight 0001

The World Series of Poker coverage continues tonight at a new time, 9:00 p.m EST on ESPN, as the field continues to dwindle to the final nine players. With more than 96% of the 6,494 starting players gone, the action focuses on the remaining 230 including the always toughJoe Hachem and 2008 WSOP Main Event winner Peter Eastgate.

Joining Hachem and Eastgate in the first hour of coverage is the world's top-ranked player (according to ESPN/Bluff) Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier, seven-time bracelet winner, and Full Tilter Phil Ivey, 2008 November Nine member Dennis Phillips, and 2007 WSOP Player of the Year Tom Schneider to name a few. The second hour of coverage features Day 6 action as Eastgate, Hachem and Ivey continue to position themselves to return as one of the November Nine.

Tuesday also marks the return of ESPN.com's “Inside Deal” as hosts Andrew Feldman, Laura Lane and Bernard Lee bring viewers the latest poker news. Tuesday's special guest is 2009 November Nine member Steven Begleiter. A former executive at Bear Stearns, Begleiter discusses his exciting adventure through the WSOP Main Event field, how his corporate lifestyle directly affected his poker career, and his thoughts on the future. The "Inside Deal" crew also was joined by Phil Ivey through an interview conducted by Phil Gordon.

According to Feldman, Inside Deal is building its momentum as the final table gets closer. "Fans can expect more interviews form the November Niners each week starting with Steven Begleiter and Phil Ivey this week. We'll break down each of the players and have a preview show of the final table in the last few weeks before the event."
