Lederers to Host Boys and Girls Club Funder

Poker power couple Howard and Susie Lederer will host their annual charity poker tournament on behalf of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America on July 1st, 2009. The $330 buy-in “Susie and Howard Lederer Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament” includes $200 re-buys and will be held at the Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas. Those rebuys are sure to be flying in this one, but the winner will walk away with a wonderful prize – a seat valued at $20,000 on NBC’s popular late-night program “Poker After Dark.”

‘Daniel Negreanu’s Big Swing’ Benefits Lili Claire Foundation

Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu enjoys his golf when not at the poker tables, and he’ll be taking time out from his WSOP poker schedule to host “Daniel Negreanu’s Big Swing,” a charity golf tourney benefiting the Lili Claire Foundation. The June 25th, 2009 funder has room for 30 four-player amateur teams in an event held at Las Vegas’ ritzy Rio Secco Golf Club. Brunson to Host ‘Legends of Poker and Golf Academy’

Speaking of Negreanu, he, Doyle Brunson, Mike Caro and Dewey Tomko will join together to host this fall’s Legends of Poker and Golf Academy. The event, scheduled for November 3-6, 2009 at the OMNI Orlando (FL) Resort, will feature three days of comprehensive poker and golf instruction, followed by a day of poker and golf tourneys. The event is cohosted by the David Leadbetter Golf Academy and will also feature appearances from golf pros Rocco Mediate, Andy Bean, Mike Hulbert, and Brad Bryant.
