Caio Cesar “caio_pimenta” Pimenta logged a $68,250 payday late Tuesday night for taking down this week’s PokerStars Super Tuesday. The event drew a crowd of 339 players and included a number of notables who ran deep but just missed the final, including Benjamin “xthesteinx” Zamani in 17th place ($3,500), Aditya “intervntion” Agarwal in 19th ($2,450) and Shane “shaniac” Schleger in 20th ($2,450).

Soon after the final began, short stack Peter “PJSNEAKS” Jacobson busted when his A6 fell to Cesar “makavelyces” Fuentes’s Q4. The board fell 9K434 as Jacobson busted in ninth place for $6,125. That left these chip counts for the remaining eight players:

Chris “Universe112” Leveroni — 202,118
Caio Cesar “caio_pimenta” Pimenta — 186,678
Ryan “jusgivithere” Fisler — 177,995
The Blond — 157,566
Cesar “makavelyces” Fuentes — 122,700
Pokerhahntas — 84,349
Kyle “bluffdeez503” Zartman –--45,721
edoiler — 39,873

At the 2,000/4,000/400 level, Kyle “bluffdeez503” Zartman lost much of his stack with 1010 to edoiler, who held AK. The board ran out 3A632 and Zartman was left with one big blind. He fell the next hand in eighth place for $8,750.

Chris “Universe112” Leveroni’s stack was severely dented at 3,000/6,000/600 when his A10 ran into Cesar “makavelyces” Fuentes’ QQ. No ace found the table and Leveroni was left with less than a big blind. The next hand Ryan “jusgivithere” Fisler opened to 16,454 in early position. Chris Leveroni called all in for 663 and The Blond re-raised all in from the small blind for 53,712. Fisler called with Q10, which trailed The Blond’s AQ, and Leveroni’s 94 was up for the small side pot. Each player held the lead at one point, but when it was all said and done the chips went Fisler’s way. The final board read 53A7J as Fisler made a flush on the river. Leveroni took seventh for $12,250 and The Blond earned $15,750 for sixth.

At 4,000/8,000/800, edoiler departed after shoving from the small blind for 33,988 with A8. Pokerhahntas called from the big blind with J2 and took it down when the board came K237Q. The fifth-place finish earned edoiler $20,125. Cesar “makavelyces” Fuentes went to the rail at 5,000/10,000/1,000 after a hand against pokerhahntas. Both held the same hand as pokerhahntas’ AJ faced Fuentes’ AJ, but the board ran out 4910105 as pokerhahntas flopped the flush to send Fuentes away in fourth place for $29,400.

Ryan “jusgivithere” Fisler exited next. Caio Cesar “caio_pimenta” Pimenta raised to 25,000 on the button and Fisler went all in for 227,963 with KJ. Pimenta called with A5 and the chips went his way when the board ran out K10QJ2. Ryan “jusgivithere” Fisler collected $38,500 for third place. Pimenta’s 2:1 chip lead was too much for pokerhahntas to overcome. On the final hand, Pimenta’s K10 bested pokerhahntas’ 77. The board brought 6QJ98 to gve Pimenta a straight and send pokerhahntas off as the runner-up with $51,625. Pimenta’s win in the PokerStars Super Tuesday was worth $68,250.
