Welcome to the 888 Poker 2009 WSOP Playoff Series. A five-week promotion that gives PokerNews players exclusive access to the ultimate $17,000 package – that’s a chance to fly to Las Vegas, party all night and play poker against the world’s biggest contenders.
This is how it works…
Take part in a series of $10+$1 buy-in tournaments running Saturdays at 19:05 GMT as follows:
May 9 - Tournament ID 23304952
May 16 - Tournament ID 23304982
May 23 - Tournament ID 23304989
May 30 - Tournament ID 23304995
The top 10 finishers from each $11 tourney will be awarded points as follows:
1st place – 600
2nd place – 550
3rd place – 500
4th place – 450
5th place – 400
6th place – 350
7th place – 300
8th place – 250
9th place – 200
10th place – 150
Should you take part but not make the top 10, you will still be credited with 50 points towards the series.
The highest top 10 points earners from the entire series will go into a private freeroll on Saturday, June 6 at 19:05 GMT to play off for an explosive $17,000 WSOP* Package which includes entry to the $10,000 Main Event, ten nights accommodation, $2,500 cash for travel, $2,000 cash for spending and a very special invite to the 888 Poker VIP party. In addition, $3,000 will be added to the prize pool and distributed as per 888 Poker’s standard payout structure – bringing the freeroll value to $20,000!
Participation is simple – use a 888 Poker via PokerNews account, make a minimum deposit and buy-in for $11. These tournaments are located in the 888 Poker lobby under the 'Hold'em', 'Multi-table' and 'Restricted' tabs with the title 'PokerNews WSOP Playoff'. Existing 888 Poker account holders are welcome provided they signed up through PokerNews.
