The Bodog Poker Open III will kick off in a matter of days, and this year’s edition will include a few new wrinkles. The 26 tournaments that will make up BPO III are being divided into three separate series, each with a different buy-in tier, giving players even more choices this year. The schedule features ten elite, high-stakes “championship” events, eight “mid-stakes” tourneys, and eight low buy-in “mini-bounty” tourneys designed for players of more modest bankrolls. For the championship series, Bodog has decided to forego the traditional guarantees found with events elsewhere, and will instead donate a generous $75,000 to the championship prize pool, with $30,000 earmarked for the BPO III main event alone. The total prize pool for BPO III promises to top $280,000.

The series gets underway on April 26th, continuing through to the championship main event on May 3rd. Last year’s Bodog Poker Open II drew a total of 3,539 runners in 14 events, awarding well over $700,000 in prize money overall, with the winner of the main event taking home $75,000. As with the two previous Bodog Poker Opens, the schedule is wall-to-wall hold'em
– including no-limit, pot-limit, fixed-limit, turbo, and short-handed. The inexpensive bounty tournaments will give players a chance to test their poker chops against Bodog pros Evelyn Ng, Jean-Robert Bellande, David Williams and Justin Bonomo.

Qualifiers for all BPO III events are currently running on Bodog Poker. The complete schedule for BPO III is below (all events are texas holdem):
