A daily double at PokerStars by Daniel "Allanon85" Drescher headlined online poker action early in the week. Drescher started his great day by taking down the difficult daily $100+rebuy NLHE at Stars, then topped off a great day by winning the Stars Super Tuesday. In the Full Tilt $1K Monday, "Pot Odds 3" battled back from short-stack status at the final table to take down a win worth nearly $90,000. Highlights from the final tables:

PokerStars Super Tuesday

The PokerStars Super Tuesday drew a smallish 324 entrants, leaving a $26,000 overlay in place for the players who were on hand. Among the best finishers were Grayson "graybone" Nichols in 10th place ($5,600), Jeff "jpapola" Papola in 11th ($5,600), Halfrek in 12th ($5,600), Nick "FU_15" Maimone in 13th ($4,725), Cristiano "crisbus81" Guerra in 14th ($4,725) and Jeremy "thechemist83" Gaubert in 15th ($4,725), Danny "THE_D_RY" Ryan in 19th ($3,150), Phil "USCphildo" Collins in 28th ($2,450) and Thayer "THAY3R" Rasmussen in 29th ($2,450). The chip counts at the start of the final table were as follows:

In consecutive hands at the 1,250/2,500/250 level, 1trish and Dan "djk123" Kelly were eliminated. 1trish ran Ah9s into Brad "smerks" Marsh's AQ and did not catch up, taking home $6,125 for ninth place. Kelly shoved for 31,125 with KJ and found action from Ryan "ryanbluf" Karp who held A6. Kelly grabbed the lead when the flop came 24J, but Karp caught the A on the turn. The river was the 8 and Dan Kelly was out in eighth place for $8,750. The next to depart was Kenrof, at 1,500/3,000/300. Ryan Karp raised to 7,899 under the gun and Kenrof went all in for 59,016 from the button, with AQ. Karp called with 88 and held on to win the hand as the board ran out 64510K. Kenrof collected $12,250 for seventh place.

A few hands later, Brad "smerks" Marsh raised to 7,875 under the gun and Adam "skilled_sox" Ewenstein called on the button. The flop was Q96 and Marsh put out a continuation bet of 14,250. Ewenstein shoved all in and Marsh called all in for 42,581 with AA. Marsh's aces were slightly ahead of skilled_sox's KQ heading to fourth street, where the 10 fell, keeping Marsh in the lead. However, fifth street was the 2 and made a flush for Ewenstein, busting Brad "smerks" Marsh in sixth place for $15,750.

MPetes hit the rail later in the level. He opened to 7,000 on the button and Ryan Karp re-raised from the small blind with the big stack. MPetes called all in for 66,028 and tabled AK to Karp's A8. The board ran out 38J68 as Karp took down the pot and ended MPetes' tournament in fifth place for $20,650. Luke "Bdbeatslayer" Vrabel departed two hands later after he got it in with KQ on a K48 board against Daniel "Allanon85" Drescher's AQ. The turn was the 10 and kept Vrabel in the lead, but the A on the river sent Vrabel's hand to the muck. He took home $29,750 for fourth place.

On the last hand of the level, Ewenstein exited in third place. In a battle of the blinds, Daniel "Allanon85" Drescher five-bet all in with the bigger stack and Ewenstein called all in with 44. Drescher held AK and fell way behind when the flop came 432. The K turn kept Ewenstein's set in the lead, but the 5 river gave Drescher the winning straight. Adam "Skilled_sox" Ewenstein won $39,550 for the third-place showing. The chip counts to begin heads-up play were the following:

Just as heads-up play began, Daniel "Allanon85" Drescher took down the $100 re-buy tournament elsewhere on Stars for over $26,000, and aimed to lock up the victory here as well. The match lasted into the 4,000/8,000/800 level before Drescher captured his second win in an hour's time. At one point he surrendered the lead, but finally managed to best Ryan Karp's A-10 with his own K-J. On the final hand, Drescher opened to 19,999 and Karp re-raised to 60,000. Drescher four-bet shoved and Karp called all in 197,044 with 99. Drescher tabled AQ and won the tournament when the board ran out A3Q5A. Ryan "ryanbluf" Karp finished as the runner-up, taking home $52,500. The winner of The PokerStars Super Tuesday was Daniel "Allanon85" Drescher for $71,750. With his win in the $100 rebuy, Drescher's Tuesday gave him over $98,000 in tournament earnings for the night.

The $1K Monday on Full Tilt Poker drew a crowd of 356 with the winner receiving $89,000. Notable finishes included Stephen "stevie444" Chidwick in 10th place ($4,450), Anthony "D1rtyR1v3r" Nardi in 14th ($3,560), Brady "vegan213" Shepard in 15th ($3,560), Benjamin "TheStein" Zamani in 16th ($2,670), Jeff "Payton3434" Grimes in 18th ($2,670) and Ozenc "the aviator1" Demir in 19th ($1,958) and Brandon Adams in 32nd ($1,602). After the eliminations of Vlekkentoven in 9th ($7,120), Chris "herdgolf86" Tipper in 8th ($8,900) and Matthias "goodvibe" Neu in 7th ($11,570), the chip counts of the remaining six were as follows:

Mark "xqsays" Radoja went out in sixth place at 6,000/12,000/1,500. He raised to 27,000 under the gun, and from the big blind Nick "Grippolio" Grippo re-raised all in with the big stack. Radoja called with KK and had the lead against Grippolio's QJ. However, the board ran out 107598 with Radoja falling to the runner-runner straight. He took home $17,800 for his effort. Russell "russbuster" Crane busted in the next hand. He shoved from the button for 141,666 with K6 and ran into Mike "Pot Odds 3" McNeil's AK in the big blind. The board came 2547J and Crane was out in fifth for $24,920.

Shawn "phat_cat1" Luman departed at 8,000/16,000/2,000. He made it 37,349 to go on the button and Grippo shoved all in. Luman called all in for 305,000 with AQ and had Grippo's A10 in bad shape. Again, though, Grippo emerged as the winner as the board community cards rolled out 871038. Shawn "phat_cat1" Luman took fourth place for $32,930. A few hands later Richard "rjmgrace" Grace opened to 42,000 on the button and Grippo re-raised to 112,240 in the small blind. Grace again raised, making it 260,000 to go. Grippo went all in and Grace called all in for 161,727 more with AJ. He trailed Grippo's AK and was unable to catch up as the board came K53102, and collected $42,720 for the third-place showing. McNeil battled back and came out on top. First, he doubled up with AJ against Grippo's A9 to vault into the chip lead. On the final hand, Grippo's tournament life was on the line with 85 against McNeil's A4. The board ran out J7243 as Grippo came up short, finishing in second place for $56,960. Mike "Pot Odds 3" McNeil collected $89,000 for winning the Full Tilt $1K Monday.
