The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour has confirmed the schedule for its upcoming stop in Deauville, France. The stop at the Casino Barriere Deauville, part of the EPT's fifth season, is formally called the EPT French Open and will run from January 20-24, 2009.

The return to Deauville comes after a two-year hiatus, according to an announcement released by the EPT's chief executive, John Duthie. An extensive lineup of Team PokerStars pros have already committed to attending the Stars-sponsored tour's return to Deauville, including all four women currently part of Team PokerStars — Vanessa Rousso, Vicky Coren, Isabelle Mercier and Katja Thater. Others scheduled to appear include Bertrand "ElkY' Grospellier, Noah Boeken, Alex Kravchenko, Luca Pagano, Dario Minieri and Chad Brown.

As always, an extensive selection of online qualifiers is available at PokerStars. EPT Deauville travel packages are valued at more than $9,000 and include the buy-in to the main event, plus hotel accommodations and expenses. Direct buy-ins to EPT Deauville are also available for €5,300 (about US $6,660). The EPT Deauville main event will be capped at 700 players, which will produce an estimated prize pool of €3,360,000.
