PokerStars EPT Baden Day 2: Anton Allemann Moves to Front
156 of the 282 original entrants returned to the felt on Monday for Day 2 of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Baden event, with Sander Lyloff starting Day 2 with the chip lead. The heavily stacked field featured stars such as the Hendon Mob's Barny Boatman, Team PokerStars' Barry Greenstein and 2005 EPT Baden Champion Patrik Antonius. The top ten chip stacks looked like this as play began, though by the end of the day lesser-knowns such as Anton Allemann and Acar Mazlum (pictured) had moved to the top. The start-of-day leaders:

The action started off fast on Day 2, with nearly 50 players eliminated in the first two levels. Among the early eliminations were Barny Boatman, Barry Greenstein, and Day one chip leader Sander Lyloff. Lyloff's hopes of winning back-to-back EPT titles ended early in the day when he found himself crippled after a hand with Peter Gould. Lyloff then put the last few chips in with 10♥8♦ against 4♥7♦ and the 7♣ on the river sent him to the rail.
Patrik Antonius also saw his EPT Baden event come to an early close when his K♠J♣ was no good by the river. Antonius and his opponent, Acar Mazlum, both checked a flop of K♥7♠9♠, and then Mazlum bet out on the 10♣ turn. Antonius raised and Mazlum called. The river brought the 6♠, and Antonius called Mazlum's all in. Mazlum tabled A♠2♠ for the nut flush and Antonius was eliminated.
John Shipley and Dave Colclough both ran their aces into bigger aces for their elimination. Shipley was busted late in the day when his A♥J♠ was not enough to survive an all in against A♦Q♠, and Colclough busted when Hevad Khan called his pre-flop push with A♦J♣ to Colclough's A♣4♠. No four appeared on the board for Colclough and he was eliminated. Other notable eliminations on Day 2 included Mark Vos, Thomas Wahlroos, Katja Thater, Luca Pagano and Dario Minieri.
As Day 2 drew to a close, 40 players remained, including Thor Hansen, Alan Smurfit, Hevad Khan and Ram Vaswani. The top ten chip stacks entering Day 3 are as follows:
