World Renowned DJ Roger Sanchez Set to Perform at EPT Barcelona Poker Festival Party
From August 16-27, the European Poker Tour will return to Casino Barcelona in Spain for the 100th stop in EPT history. In addition to great poker action, the festival, which features 44 events, plans to offer a ton of free activities and competitions as part of the special celebrations. One of those special celebrations will be a three-hour set at the EPT100 party by Grammy award-winning DJ Roger Sanchez, one of the biggest names in electronic music.
A pioneer in house music, Sanchez has worked alongside such stars as Diana Ross, Kylie Minogue, Daft Punk and Madonna. The producer and promoter is also the founder of Stealth Records and hosts the weekly Release Yourself radio show, which has a worldwide audience of more than 15 million listeners.

“We are absolutely thrilled that Roger Sanchez will be helping us celebrate the 100th EPT and also thank PokerTracker, the official EPT poker tracking partner, for sponsoring the event,” said EPT President Edgar Stuchly. “EPT100 is one of the most important milestones in our history and we are getting ready to host a record number of online qualifiers. I suspect that Sanchez’s performance will prove an even bigger incentive for players trying to win their seat in the tournament.”
The celebration party will kick off at 10:30 p.m. local time on August 20 at Teatre Principal, a stunning converted 19th century theatre that plays host to the best club nights in Barcelona, located in the heart of the city’s famous Las Ramblas boulevard. Estrellas and EPT players are invited to attend the party to enjoy an open bar for the first two hours as well as a special VIP area once the club is open to the public.
EPT100 joins forces with the national Estrellas Poker Tour once again for what is being called the EPT Barcelona Poker Festival, and it will include such events as the €1,100 Estrellas Main Event, the €5,300 EPT Main Event, and the prestigious €50,000 Super High Roller. Of course PokerNews will be on hand to bring you all the action.
Several big names are already confirmed for the event, including EPT Copenhagen champion Mickey Petersen, EPT London winner David Vamplew, Eureka Prague finalist Stephen "stevie444" Chidwick, PokerStars Caribbean Adventure runner-up and EPT Dortmund champion Mike "Timex" McDonald, and Shaun Deeb.
