Terrence Chan Wins Professional MMA Debut
In his professional MMA debut on Friday, poker pro Terrence Chan defeated a bigger, stronger and more experienced Alex Lee at the Legend Fighting Championships 8 in Hong Kong. Chan dominated the match on the ground and won by armbar submission, 1 minute, 56 seconds into the second round.
Chan admitted before the fight that he was the underdog, especially since he accepted the fight just two weeks before the weigh-in. Lee was fighting in his hometown and had a five-inch height advantage, but Chan's fundamentals on the mat put him over the top.
