We had a quick chat with Brent Hanks shortly after his WSOP Event #2: $1,500, No-Limit Hold’em win to get his reaction. The $517,725 payday is his biggest cash to date.

Which players gave you the hardest time at the final table?

Vanessa Selbst. Luckily I had position on her. Andrew Badecker three-bet me a lot, but I was ready to four-bet him when needed. Jacob Bazeley is such a strong player, and I was very fortunate to suck out against JP Kelly in a key spot.

Any plans to celebrate your big win tonight?

The guys [Hanks' rail] will drink more than me tonight. There’s plenty of time to party, and I plan on playing tomorrow.

Last question. If you could pick one song to be played at your bracelet ceremony what would it be?

"Everything In It's Right Place," by Radiohead.

Brent's biggest cash was in 2008, placing fifth in a $2,500 WSOP No-Limit Hold'em event for $178,327. Wednesday's win brings his total WSOP cashes to $1,164,072.
