When looking out onto any live tournament field, one may immediately notice the overwhelming amount of men present. The women seem far and few between. Although poker is clearly a male-dominated game (at least for now), there has certainly been an increase in the number of female poker players.

While females may only comprise 10.5% of the real-money players on PokerStars, there is no doubt that many notable female players, such as Vanessa Selbst and Liv Boeree, have made their mark both online and in the live poker world.
