Jason Mercier Latest Prop Bet: $100,000 for an Alcohol Free Year
He is already known for being a prop bet lover, and Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier has issued quite the challenge in the form of a six-figure no-drinking bet.
After announcing on Twitter that he wanted to bet a minimum of $100,000 for not drinking for an entire 12 months, Mercier was quickly replied to by other top poker players as Mike McDonald, Brett Richey , and Andrew Chen, all apparently interested in knowing more about the bet’s terms.
Shaun Deeb also chimed in in response to Mercier, but he took a different approach, tweeting that he would rather bet on who is able to drink the most, not give up on alcohol.
As it stands right now, it doesn't look like anyone has accepted the bet against Mercier, but that could all change very quickly. The 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is right around the corner, and with nearly the entire poker world at the event, Mercier should be able to spawn much more chatter in regards to the wager. Poker player and actress Tiffany Michelle already made public her intention of discussing the terms of the bet during the upcoming PCA.
@JasonMercier I might be seriously interested this... lets discuss at PCA?

The no-drinking bet came right in the end of a very good year for Mercier, the two-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner. He managed to score winnings in live tournaments worth $1,837,361, and making good on his claim to turn things around from a losing 2012.
