Sass Doubles with Kings

Alan Sass
Alan Sass

From middle position, Tsugunari Toma opened with a raise to 25,500. Action then folded over to Henry Wang in the cutoff seat, and he reraised all in for 314,000. Play then folded to Alan Sass in the big blind, and he called all in for less at 203,000. After a couple of minutes in the tank, Toma folded.

When the cards were turned over, Wang held the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and was up against the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Sass was at risk for less chips, but held the best hand going into the battle.

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}, and Wang had missed so far. The turn was the {Q-Spades} to give Wang a straight draw, but that straight draw didn't matter because Sass would make a full house.

The river completed the board with the {7-Clubs}, and Sass had secured his double up to over 450,000 in chips. Wang was left with just over 100,000.
