Day 1c Completed
It was a long day of poker at the Downstream Casino Resort as the RunGoodGear.com Poker Series Main Event saw a total of 233 entrants take to the tables and only 39 of them moving on to return for Day 2. The Day 1c numbers saw 122 entrants and 21 survivors bringing the total numbers for the three starting flights to 328 entrants with 55 of those moving on to Day 2. Only the top 36 will make the money, so there's still some work to be done before players can get some of their hard-earned money back.
Chadd Johnson bagged the chip lead for Day 1c with 281,000 in chips, joining Day 1b chip leader Lou Barlow (253,000) and Day 1a chip leader Darren Attebery (250,000) atop the chip counts. Rounding out the top three from Day 1c were Saied Moradi (272,500) and John Reynolds (246,000).
Also moving on from Day 1c were Patrick Dorothy (145,500), Matt Ellis (139,500), Suzanne Cooley (139,000), Randy Fikki (118,500), Jody Nittler (92,500), Mike Rieck (56,500), Jamie Kerstetter (53,500), Chris Conrad (45,500), Randy Murfin (12,000), and the defending champion of this event, Mark Martin (32,500).
That group joins the Day 1b survivors which include Ryan Tepen (12,000), Ross Bybee (159,500), Chance Fitzgerald (81,000), Heather Alcorn (159,000), Chris Drake (200,000), Troy Repp (175,500), and Terry Karn (91,000).
The team at RunGoodGear.com threw an impromptu pizza party for the players in the final flight and much fun was had as players stuffed their faces while tossing poker chips into the middle of the table. RunGoodGear Team Pro Benjamin Reason joked with RunGoodGear.com CEO Tana Karn, "Thanks for slowing down the number of hands we're dealt!" as players gulped down the grub.
Despite all the fun, there were people who left a little disappointed after coming up short in their attempts to move on to Day 2. That group included Reason, Isaac Tucker, Bernard Lee, Mike Tang, Dan Lowery, Huy Nguyen, Bryan Campanello, Casey Hindman, Amanda Baker, and Michael Sanders.
The players will return at noon local time on Sunday with dreams of taking home the $43,453 first-place prize and $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event seat. PokerNews will be there from start to finish until that winner is determined, so be sure to tune in to find out who the next RunGoodGear.com Poker Series champion is!

A player in early position limped in and the player in Seat 1 raised it up to 25,000. John Reynolds moved all in, having both players covered. The early position limper folded and the player in Seat 1 made the call with . He was in trouble though as Reynolds had . The board ran out and Reynolds finished the hand with one of the biggest stacks in the tournament with 246,500 in chips.

We got to the table with the board reading and Randy Fikki waiting on his opponent to act.
"Go ahead," said Fikki's opponent.
Fikki grabbed four T5,000 chips and put them into the middle. His opponent, playing the full house that was on the board, made the call.
It was no good, however, as Fikki had for a flopped full house, threes full of aces, that turned into quad threes on the turn. The river was a dream card and Fikki scooped the nice pot.
"Nice hand," said his opponent, a look of disbelief on his face.

Players are on a 15-minute break, their last of the evening.
Mike Rieck opened from middle position for 5,500 and was called by the player on the button and the big blind. The flop came and the player in the big blind checked. Rieck bet 10,000 and was quickly called by the player on the button. The player in the big blind folded and the dealer put out the on the turn.
Rieck put out a nearly pot-sized bet of 27,000 and his opponent shook his head and said "I'd say you got real lucky on that turn" as he pushed his cards to the dealer.

We didn't catch the pre-flop action but there were three players all in and Randy Murfin was the shortest stack of the three. He, however, had the best hand of the three with . The biggest stack had and the middle stack had . The board ran out to give Murfin the triple up while the player with tens knocked out the player with ace-queen.
Murfin was up to 92,000 after taking down that pot.
