Katchalov Puts Pobal Through the Wringer

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov

Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov needs an EPT Main Event title to complete the Triple Crown and he just put Mikalai Pobal - a man who has an EPT Main Event title to his name - in a world of hurt.

The Ukranian had bet 40,000 on the river of a {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{K-Hearts} board and the EPT9 Barcelona winner was tanking over his decision. The Belarusian had roughly 60,000 back so the decision was for the majority of his stack. He took his time, but given the gravitas of the decision no one at the table looked even remotely interested in calling the clock.

A few more minutes passed before he mucked his hand with a distinct grimace of a man who didn't want to. After that hand Katchalov climbs to 181,000 whilst Pobal drops to 60,000
