Ashton Griffin, one of the most accomplished players left in the field, has just seen his 2013 Main Event come to an end.

Goran Mandic raised it up to 50,000 in middle position, and Griffin moved all in for his last 323,000. Sergio Castelluccio was two seats over, and he asked for a count. After about 45 seconds in the tank, he made the call, and Mandic ducked out of the way to get us to a showdown.

Griffin: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Castelluccio: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Griffin was in need of an ace to survive, but it would never come, as the board ran down {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Castellucio took down the pot to up his stack to 1.637 million, while Griffin is ousted short of the dinner break on Day 5.
