Raoul Refos Eliminated in 9th Place (€39,500)
Ole Schemion recently absorbed most of Raoul Refos' stack which allowed Daniel Negreanu to swoop in during the next hand and eliminate him.
It all began when Refos opened to 48,000 from under the gun and received a single call from Schemion in the big blind. The flop brought and Schemion check-called a continuation bet of 42,000. This allowed the to fall on the turn and Schemion tapped the table again. Refos shot out 65,000 and Schemion stuck around.
The fell on the river and Schemion came out swinging with a bet of 200,000. This caused Refos to lean back in his seat and throw his hands up on his head. He riffled chips for quite some time before finally tossing out a flat call. Schemion showed for a rivered two pair and Refos let out a quick groan. Before mucking his hand he flashed to Schemion, showing that he was ahead until the river.
This hit left Refos with just around 70,000 and he was in the big blind the next hand. Negreanu opened from early position to 50,000 and it folded to Refos who called for his tournament life.
