Hansen Flips for All of It with Mercier and Wins

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

From under the gun plus one, Gus Hansen raised to 16,000 to start things off. Action then folded over to Jason Mercier on the button, and he reraised all in for about 186,000. The two blinds folded, then action was back on Hansen.

Hansen tanked and tanked, but eventually splashed in the chips to make the call and put himself at risk for 151,000 total. Mercier quickly spread the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} from his hand, and Hansen showed the {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, and Hansen's fours held up to give him the double.

"I'm glad I didn't have to get another 250 from you, Paul," Hansen said looking at Paul Phua and citing his first rebuy that Phua fronted the money for.

"You're well covered!" responded Phua with a big smile.
