It's a Circuit Winterfest
Welcome back to another stop along the 2010/2011 World Series of Poker Circuit! We're up in Lake Tahoe, Nevada and if you're going to be joining us here, you better pack your scarfs and gloves because it's cold. Since we arrived at Harvey's Lake Tahoe last night, a consistent sprinkle of snow has been coming down. The is the other side of paradise, away from sunny beaches, bikinis and the ocean. We're up in the mountains -- about 6,000 feet up in the mountains -- and if you being surrounded by tall trees and snow, this is your place. It's absolutely beautiful up here and a great stop for the tour.
Play kicks off at 12:00 PM PST and a field of around 200 runners is expected. Although the snow is beautiful, it may actually hurt the attendance as it's making it more difficult to get up and down the mountain. We can tell you that we've already spotted Woody Moore, winner of WSOP-C Southern Indiana and the man who never misses a WSOP-branded event, Howard "Tahoe" Andrew. Shiva Dudani and Charlie Wiper are also here. Oh, and we heard the barking coming from the one and only Ted Bort. He came barking through the tournament area just a few moments ago.
We're about 20 minutes away from start time, so stay tuned for all of the live coverage as only the PokerNews Live Reporting team can bring it to you!
