It was another big weekend for online poker players in New Jersey with the wrap-up of the eight-event Winter Poker Classic II on WSOP.com NJ.
New Jersey's "HelloFriend" outlasted the 100-player field in the Winter Poker Classic II Main Event to collect the top prize of $12,266. Some of the notable players to reach the final table in this event included Jeremy "Jermz" Danger (second place - $8,177), Paul "rungood27" Scaturro (fourth place - $3,884), Joseph "JOEYdaMUSH" Galazzo (eighth place - $1,635), and Anthony "Flawlessbink" Maio (ninth place - $1,227).
The biggest winner over the weekend in the Garden State, however, came in the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com $50,000 Guarantee with "overthetop" besting 331 entrants who ponied up the $200 buy-in to win $12,386. Also on the final table were Jacob "jakep474" Perry (third place - $6,090), partypoker Ambassador Jamie "JamieKerstetter" Kerstetter (eighth place - $2,317), and Jacob "takeAwalk" Schafer (ninth place - $1,655).
Perry's strong finish in this tournament wrapped up a huge weekend for him on partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com. Perry made a total of four final tables, including claiming seventh place in both the Daily $10K and the Daily $5K for $496 and $243, respectively, on Saturday, before winning another $1,229 with a fourth-place finish in the Daily $10K the following day.
Meanwhile, over in the WSOP.com/888poker NJ Sunday $30,000 Guarantee, it was Keith "T1mB3y_B33F" Donovan grabbing the top prize of $9,391 after outlasting the 188-player field. Others on the final table in this event were Daniel "juice" Buzgon who finished in sixth place for $1,739 and Michael "LeftSid3" Haberman Jr who banked $835 for coming in eighth.
