A total of 291 players came out to play The RunGood Poker Series Reno $600 Main Event. The $150,000 prizepool will be divided by the 33 remaining players, each of them guaranteed a payout of $1,030, with a first place prize of $34,150. The winner of this event not only also receives a RGPS Ring, but a free seat to The Dream Seat invitational in Thunder Valley in November.

With one and a half times her nearest competitor, Susie Peterson (937,000) is coming into the day with the overwhelming chip lead. Securing herself a second Hendon Mob cash, this Nevada local looks to put her massive pile of chips to use as she hunts her first RGPS trophy. The first flight’s Steve Nevius (603,000) and Brittney Barnes (574,000) round out the podium, also looking for their first RGPS victory.

This year we saw a second player win back to back RGPS main event as Derrick Yamada took down the Jamul Casino main event in San Diego, California, tying the record with Derrick Plumage. Last year’s champion Stacey Berger (128,000) also found a bag and with it, the potential to become the third RGPS main event winner to win back to back. She would also become the first woman to win two RGPS main events.

Play ended with 22:11 left in Level 15 with blinds at 4,000/8,000 with an 8,000 big blind ante in the final flight. Players will return with this much left and play down to a winner with 15-minute breaks after every three 40-minute levels.
