"Well, I'm probably dead, but i gotta call," Barksdale announced as he sipped his beer and made the call.

His opponent looked pretty dejected as he turned over A♠8♠, drawing stone dead against the K♣K♠ of Barksdale. The river was the meaningless 3♣ and the large pot was shipped over Barksdale as the table looked on in disbelief.

"Wha-what just happened?" was the theme going around along with "Merry Christmas" as Barksdale rocketed into the chip lead.
