Gambini, with the best hand, check-called for 800,000 on the K♣3♠2♣ flop, which brought in the A♥ turn to give Malinov the lead with two pair. Gambini check-called again, this time for 2,500,000.

The 7♥ river completed the board and Gambini checked for a third time. Malinov bet 3,100,000 and was snap-called by the Italian.

Malinov turned his cards over and Gambini mucked after seeing the superior holding.
